RBC, FCC and University of Guelph launch new online course in farm management – RealAgriculture

Farmers who want to improve their farm management skills, without the cost and commitment of on-site learning, will be able to access a new online course from January 2022.

RBC Royal Bank, Farm Credit Canada and the University of Guelph have teamed up to offer an eight-module home course called Fundamentals of Farm Management. The course will be offered free of charge to farmers.

Ryan Riese of RBC Royal Bank sat down with RealAg Radio host Shaun Haney for the November 25 edition of the show, to make the announcement.

Inspired by a similar concept focused on personal finance when RBC partnered with McGill University a few years ago, Riese says the course will cover topics relevant to farm management. Featuring speakers from the University of Guelph, the video course will cover topics ranging from corporate strategy and planning to human resources, succession planning and health awareness and management. mental.

Passing eight modules and one test will result in a certificate from the University of Guelph, says Riese.

The course will launch on January 17, 2022.
